Excalibur Engineering Services offers a variety of support services that enables their clients to have a successful product launch. These services include: market assessments, production definitions, documentation, and pilot production and manufacture.

MARKET ASSESSMENT:
Excalibur Engineering Services' product development process is the key to their success. Excalibur’s product development approach begins with analyzing their client's product concepts, objectives, and requirements. Brainstorming sessions, between Excalibur and their client's marketing and engineering personnel, clarifies issues of the product feasibility. A preliminary engineering or market study can be conducted to define the product’s direction. Market constraints, such as approval processes, are also addressed prior to the products definition stage.

PRODUCT DEFINITION:
A development game plan is initiated in this step to provide efficient utilization of resources, effective control of costs, and maintenance of milestones, and schedules. Often this plan is submitted to management for approval of the entire development, or used to gain venture capital funds. This step is extremely important to the development process because many times a good idea goes undeveloped due to a lack of time or resources. Excalibur offers their clients clearly defined objectives, product specifications, and a well thought out product development plan.

DOCUMENTATION:
As a part of Excalibur’s services they provide their clients with complete documentation of their product. Clients are furnished with finished products and complete packages that contain documentation of every phase of the process including: production layout, quality assurance, vendors, and parts lists. Excalibur works with their client's in-house personnel for F.M.E.A.'s, F.D.A., U.L., T.U.V., C.S.A., I.S.O., A.A.M.I., I.E.C 601, F.C.C., and I.E.E.E. standards.

PILOT PRODUCTION and MANUFACTURING:
The final two steps of Excalibur’s support services include: pilot production and manufacturing. Excalibur Engineering Services utilizes knowledge gained from prototype evaluations to optimize the manufacturing process. This analysis offers clients a smooth integration during the limited-quantity build of first production units. Pilot production is the first volume run of the finished product. Documented assembly, test, and manufacturing procedures are verified and refined to enable the product to meet cost and quality objectives. The results of this pilot production run provide the client with a tested product and a proven manufacturing process.
